Premier tourism & hospitality educational institution of country Nepal conducting Master & Bachelor's level courses in tourism management. The academy also conducts short duration tailor made training programs to suit the requirements of both public and private sectors of tourism. Kathmandu Academy of Tourism & Hospitality (KATH) is the only educational institution in the country Nepal to offer postgraduate and graduate level courses in tourism management. KATH has been established in March 2002 to fulfill the urgent need of trained human resource to the need of the rapidly emerging key sector of national economy "Tourism". As its overall goal, the academy fully dedicates to maintaining excellence of knowledge and skills required to efficiently operate and manage both the private and public sectors of tourism. It possesses a pool of well-qualified and committed faculty members.

The Academy has been established with a guiding maxim of " Tourism for Prosperity and Peace".



The objectives of the academy are:

• To impart quality education and running at basic, supervisory and management levels of travel and tourism through courses at bachelor, master and other higher levels.

• To cater to the need of qualified and well versed manpower to serve for the private and public sectors of tourism.

• To build career prospects of new generations at reasonable cost to serve in the rapidly emerging travel and tourism sector both nationally and internationally.

• To operate as the resource center for travel and tourism education, training and research in the country.

Generating knowledge & trained manpower, which is aware of sustainable tourism concepts, principles, practices and issues. Subject as tourism impacts, tourism & environment, ecotourism, sustainable tourism development etc. are part of our regular academic programs & short duration trainings along with research on the subject.
