KMTNC was established in 1982 by the legislative Act, mandated as an autonomous, not-for-profit, a non-governmental organization, to work in the field of nature conservation and sustainable development in Nepal. The trust is supported by a network of international partners. KMTNC has successfully undertaken many small a large projects on nature conservation, biodiversity tourism development management and sustainable rural development. At present, KMTNC manages ACAP and MCAP together with other projects.
